ABOUT US

Illinois Club Tennis is one of the biggest RSOs (Registered Student Organizations) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. We have just about 100 competitive team members and over 200 recreational team members. The competitive team is comprised of two teams: the A team and the B team. Both competitive teams require players to try out. Team members have the opportunity to play in competitive matches and tournaments during weekends, the most important of which are our Sectional and Nationals tournaments. Practice for the competitive team are held approximately three times a week and run from 1.5 to 2 hours each. Our recreational team, referred to as "Open Courts" is a platform in which members can reach out to other tennis players to play together! Open Courts no longer has scheduled practice times.

We also extensively participate in fundraising and philanthropy events. One of the main ways we fundraise is by helping the UIUC football team with concessions during game days.
We also have many social events, including happy hours, bar crawls, attending barn dances, and more. Social events are great ways for team members to bond and get to know each other.
